Interlocking Pavers for Walkways

Pavers-Walkways

Interlocking Paver Construction Company North VA, MD, Wash D.C.

Interlocking pavers for residential and commercial walkways are a quick, cost efficient and stylish choice to use for your property.  Interlocking pavers for walkways are one of the most requested and installed products that we carry, known for their expensive appearance yet inexpensive cost.

Interlocking pavers are made from a mix of aggregate and cement that go through various pressure sequences that result in a very durable block of concrete that also allows for the flexibility to be formed in to different shapes and sizes. The installation process is what makes these interlocking pavers such a good investment. Our experienced contractors at Northern VA Patios & Construction will come to your property for an initial consultation and discuss where you would like to install a walkway, what the goals are for the walkway, and what you would like the walkway to look like. Based off that information the contractor can give you an approximate cost for the project, get one of our designers involved to help with the pattern of the pavers (if desired), determine how thick the interlocking pavers will be and whether or not any other steps will need to be taken to remove any existing landscaping or walkways.

North VA Contractors For Interlocking Paver Walkways

Interlocking pavers can be bought in many different shapes, sizes, colors, designs, and textures and we are happy to go over samples and examples to better help you make an informed decision. You can achieve the look of a brick walkway, a natural stone walkway, and many other styles, easily with interlocking pavers. The walkway is ready for immediate use after the installation is done…no wait!

A stone sub base will be used along with a leveingl bed of sand underneath the tiles. The tiles aren’t set in place with mortar or grout like other traditional walkway materials but sand particles, rather. The pavers with the sand on top and in between the cracks are then compressed down.  This process stabilizes the sand and pavers and creates a flexible walkway. Over time and harsh conditions, your interlocking pavers well flow with the harsh impacts and last longer than many other walkway options. The flexibility allows the walkway to withstand some earthquakes and freezing temperatures when the ground will flex. This feature makes interlocking pavers superior to asphalt and even concrete in regards to future cracks or breaks.

If damage is ever done to your walkway, your interlocking pavers are easily removed and replaced unlike other installations where you would have to ruin the walkway and repair it compromising its appearance, strength, and longevity, not to mention further costs.

We carry flagstone pavers, cobblestone pavers, brick pavers, concrete pavers and more. Call us at Northern VA Patios & Construction for questions on any of our services and to schedule an initial consultation with one of our contractors who is ready to get to work on your project!
